Year 4

Year 4 - 14.11.25
Hi all,
What a busy week we have had!
On Wednesday, the whole school took part in interfaith morning. The children were split into mixed age groups and completed three activities relating to Buddhism. It was lovely to see the older children supporting the younger children. Following the morning, back in the classroom, the children shared with each other what they had made and learnt.
This week in maths, we have been focusing on the 9 times table. The children were taught a trick on their fingers to help.
In English, we have started reading ‘The Firework Maker’s Daughter’ by Phillip Pullman. So far we have thought about the characters we have met and what they are like.
In Computing, Year 4 had fun experimenting with using the microphone on a computer to record audio and practise making a podcast. This afternoon, everyone enjoyed art and having a go at drawing a picture in perspective. There were lots of wonderful drawings that the children all took great pride in!
Have a lovely weekend
Miss Bates
