Welcome back! I hope you all had a lovely Christmas and New Year. What a cold start to the year it has been!

This week we have introduced a new text, called ‘The Boy Who Lost His Spark’. The children have enjoyed finding out what mischief the nouka has got up to and they all enjoyed drawing what they thought a nouka looked like, based on what they read in the text.

In Maths, we have been multiplying and dividing numbers by 10 and 100. I have been impressed with how quickly the children have picked this concept up!

In Science, we have begun learning about sound. The children enjoyed making a string telephone to support them with their understanding of how sound travels. In Computing, the children are learning how to programme, using a programme called Turtle Academy.

Lastly, a quick reminder that our PE days are Tuesdays and Wednesdays. Please ensure your child has their full PE kit in school on these days. Homework is set on EdShed every Monday and is to be completed by the following Monday.
