Hi all,

We’ve had another busy week in Year 4!

In Maths, we have been learning to multiply 2 and 3 digit numbers by a 1-digit number, using formal written methods. This is the first time the children have been introduced to this method and with lots of practise, they are beginning to feel more confident with using it.

In English, we have been writing a diary from the perspective of Jem about the day lots of strange things happen and then he comes face-to-face with the nouka! We have also been learning about fronted adverbials for time and place.

In RE, we discussed what items are important to us and why they are important to us. In Geography, we have been learning about the different climates around the world and we finished the week with art, where we sketching and painting Kate Kato’s work.
