Year 4

Year 4 - 20.3.26
Hi all,
The sound of joyful Easter songs is currently filling the school corridor as we prepare for our visit to St Saviour’s on Wednesday!
As we come towards the end of our writing unit, the children have written and published their very own information pages all about migratory animals. From incredible journeys across the world to fascinating animal facts, their writing has been full of surprises – we’ve all learned something new!
In Maths, we have continued our work exploring equivalent fractions using a fraction wall to see how they fit together. We have also learnt how to add and subtract fractions.
In RE, we looked at the story of the Jews being freed by God from slavery in Egypt. The children wrote a short diary entry as though they were one of the Jews being freed.
Continuing our work on electricity in Science, the children had chance to explore which materials are insulators and which are conductors, making exciting discoveries through practical experiments.
Have a fantastic weekend
Miss Bates
