Dear parents and carers,

Next week the children are being shown the new Maths Shed homework site by Miss Martin (the maths lead). Thereafter, Maths Shed homework will be set. The password will be the same as their new Ed Shed one. We will no longer be using Mathletics for maths homework. 

Just to clarify, each day your child will come home with their Reading Scheme book in their bag. In Year 5 we no longer send Reading Records home, but ask the childre to keep and complete these in class to develop their sense of responsibility, in readiness for Year 6 and secondary school. 

We still ask that you read with your child regularly, and daily if possible, to develop their fluency and accuracy. 

In spite of it being a shorter week, we have packed a lot in. The children thoroughly enjoyed their Chance to Shine cricket session on Tuesday, and are responding beautifully to music with Mr Thomas.
