Dear parents and carers,

In writing, the children have created poems in response to the poem Street Music by Arnold Adoff.        They have enjoyed the freedom to be creative with how they present their pieces.

This week in maths, we have focussed on the rounding of decimals and the link between decimals and percentages.

In history we have thought about Brockenhurst as it was in 1814, and what it was like as a small village. The children have found it interesting to think about what was not there at that time!

In RE we continue our unit on Buddhism and have considered in what ways Buddhism and Christianity are similar and different.

Y5 continue to do well in their music lessons with Mr.Thomas.

REMINDER:

• your child should have a water bottle with them in school every day.
• PE Kit needs to be in school every day next week.
• Music with Mr.Thomas is on Tuesday next week.
