Dear parents and carers,

This week in maths we had fun creating cube numbers out of multi-link. This has really helped the children understand the difference between cube and square numbers.

In writing we have looked at extracts from Neil Gaiman’s ‘Coraline’. This continues our portal story unit. At the end of the week, the children planned their own portal stories that they will write next week.

In RE the children have looked at the question:

Why might some people believe that the true meaning of Christmas has been lost?

Linking to this, we have today been to St. Saviour’s church to watch the Key Stage 1 dress rehearsal of ‘ ANGEL EXPRESS’.           

In Art, we have prepared our plates for our Maya inspired paper-plate weaving that will commence next week.    

In D&T the children designed their small scale structure which they will make next week.
