Good afternoon,

We have had a good week back in Year 6.

Tuesday was a very musical day this week as we had our music lesson with Mr Thomas and also our singing lesson with Mr Williams who is a music teacher from Priestlands school. The children are really engaged in both of these lessons.

We have started some new texts and topics this week in most subjects. In English, we are exploring a new book called 'Wolf Brother' which the children are already thoroughly enjoying. In maths, we are learning and recapping fractions, decimals and percentages. In Geography we have started a topic on 'Fair Trade' and in Art we are now studying an artist called Anni Albers. 

Just a reminder that next Thursday is World Book Day. The children are invited to come in comfy clothes to read a book in. We have got some lovely activities planned so hopefully it will be a really enjoyable day for everyone.
