Year 6 Weekly Blog

2.5.25
Good morning,
Year 6 are working really hard at the moment. In maths and SPAG, we have covered everything that the children need to know in readiness for their SATs papers, so we are now revising within our lessons, aiming to have all different areas of the curriculum fresh in their minds. I know that some of the children have been working really hard on their revision at home too - this is really clear within lessons and is making a real difference. If your child has not managed to do much revision at home yet, we would recommend them doing some over the course of the next week to boost their confidence even further. There are tasks set on EdShed if you need anything further for them to do which should help with this.
In English, the children have been exploring extracts of writing that have a mood of mystery, apprehension and horror. They have been using this extracts to inspire their own writing. We will be continuing with this next week.
Please encourage your child to remember to bring their PE kits in on the correct days, as well as water bottles and hats. We are trying to encourage the children to be independent with this, but there are still some who are forgetting and need prompting.
We hope you all enjoy the long weekend.
