We have had a great week. A huge thank you to all of those that joined us on Tuesday for Year 6’s performance of, ‘Walking in the Air.’ I know how disappointed the class were when they couldn’t perform this for you in December, so it was great to have the opportunity to share this with you. Year 6 performed brilliantly and it sounded fantastic!

In English this week, we have been continuing with our learning journey linked to, ‘The Happy Prince.’ We have explored the use of formal language and recapped relative clauses and adverbials. The class have then applied this to their own writing linked to our class text.

In maths, we have been looking at ratio. We started with the relationship between numbers and whether it was additive or multiplicative. We then moved on to familiarising ourselves with language linked to ration before using the ratio symbol. We will be continuing learning more about ratio next week.

This week, you will have received a letter about some Year 6 revision guides. We recommend purchasing these to help prepare and build your children’s confidence ready for their SATs in May. By ordering these through the school, you can purchase them at a discounted price. Please complete and return the letter by next Friday.
