We Enjoy and Excel in the Presence of God

Year 6

Year 6 - 20.3.26

This week in Year 6, we have really enjoyed the sunshine – it has been lovely to spend some time outside in brighter, warmer weather. In Geography, we reached the end of our unit on Fair Trade. To celebrate all that we have learnt, we created informative and eye-catching posters to show our understanding. Year 6 did a fantastic job explaining why Fair Trade is important and how it supports farmers and producers around the world.

In English, we reflected on our narrative recounts based on Wolf Brother, written from Torak’s perspective. We carefully edited our work to spot errors and make improvements, before publishing our final pieces. It has been great to see the progress in writing and the effort put into each piece.

In Maths, we have been focusing on area and perimeter. We ended the week by learning how to calculate the area of triangles, building on our previous knowledge.

Finally, a big highlight of the week was our silly hairstyles for Comic Relief! Thank you for all your generous donations – the creativity and enthusiasm were brilliant to see, and it was a fun way to support a great cause.

We hope you have a great weekend.
