Year 6

Year 6 - 1.5.26
We’ve had a really good week in Year 6. One of our highlights was in art, where the children created their own outcomes inspired by Starry Night. They had the freedom to choose their materials, including collage, pastels, and pens, and the results looked fantastic. If possible, please could children upload a photograph of the night sky to Google Classroom.
Another special moment this week was during worship, when we surprised the children with a video of them back in Year R with Mrs Morris, singing “Me and You” by George Ezra. They absolutely loved seeing their younger selves—it was a lovely shared memory.
In English, we designed our own replies and began planning information pages. The focus has been on organising ideas into clear paragraphs based around a theme, as well as collecting ambitious vocabulary to include in our writing.
In Maths, we’ve been exploring shapes, including angles in triangles, quadrilaterals, and polygons.
We hope you all enjoy the Bank Holiday weekend!
