Year 6

Year 6 - 8.5.26
This week in Year 6, we have enjoyed applying all of our netball skills and knowledge by taking part in matches. Lots of fun was had by all!
In English, we completed and published our reptile information pages. The children worked incredibly hard to make their writing engaging and informative for the reader, using a wide range of ambitious vocabulary and carefully organised facts. Their finished pieces were something to be very proud of and demonstrated excellent creativity and attention to detail.
In Maths, we have been learning about position and direction. The children explored coordinates using four-quadrant grids before moving on to translations and reflections of shapes. They showed great perseverance when solving problems and became increasingly confident using mathematical language to describe movement and position.
Next week is SATs week — where is the year going!? Year 6 have worked incredibly hard this year and are ready to show just how brilliant they are! We are very proud of the progress they have made and they seem calm, focused and ready for the week ahead. The class are welcome to come in for breakfast from 8am each morning and we look forward to seeing them at the school gate then.
We hope you all have a lovely, relaxing weekend. Good luck to those taking part in the triathlon!
