Year 6

Year 6 - 19.6.26
We have had a lovely week in Year 6. This week, I was able to see a preview of the music performance for the Leavers’ Service, and I am delighted to say it is sounding fantastic. The children have clearly worked hard, and their performance is coming together very well. We ended the week with a brilliant tennis session with Coach Andy, which was full of fun and valuable skills practice. The children did very well considering the temperatures today!
In maths, the children completed their themed project on planning a holiday, including working out costings and budgets. This has been a really worthwhile task, and the children gained a great deal from it. In English, we have continued exploring Harry Potter, focusing on the characters and the story so far. The children have shown a strong interest in the text and have been thoughtful in their discussions.
A reminder that the Winchester Cathedral Leavers' Service takes place on Monday. The weather is also expected to be hot, so please ensure your child comes to school wearing sun-cream and with a hat and a water bottle.
We hope you all have a great weekend.
