We have had a great week in Year 6. A particular highlight was our second careers session, led by PCSO Richard Williams. The children thoroughly enjoyed hearing about his career and having the opportunity to see a police car. They also asked some thoughtful and interesting questions.

In English, the children stepped into the shoes of Laura St John, author of Dead Man’s Cove, and wrote the opening of the next chapter. They thought carefully about their vocabulary choices, developed their descriptions and practised including adverbs and relative clauses in their writing.

In Maths, we have been learning about factors, multiples and prime numbers. The children worked hard to apply their knowledge of times-table facts and mathematical rules to a range of problem-solving contexts.
