We have had a great week in Year 6. We were particularly pleased to welcome Ed for our next careers session. Ed is a doctor who works for the air ambulance service and in A&E. He shared his experiences with the children, showed us around the ambulance and taught them vital life-saving skills. These included how to call 999, check whether someone is breathing and administer CPR.

In maths, we have been focusing on division. The children have been learning how to use long division to solve two-digit division questions. We are very proud of how carefully they are applying this new skill and checking their answers.

In English, the children planned and wrote news reports about King Kong and his rampage through New York. They focused on formal language, viewpoint and vocabulary choice, and produced some excellent work.
