Another good week in Badgers where we have been talking about friendship and how we can show care and kindness to loved ones and all those around us.

There are lots of tired faces, coughs, colds and bugs around so the children are ready for a good rest!

Over the holidays, we want children to have fun and relax but please continue with reading of books and practising tricky words. After half term, books will be changed every Monday and Wednesday and key words checked weekly, thanks to our lovely helpers. Children need to be able to read and write these words in order to achieve their Early Learning Goal. We practise these lots in class, but your help at home makes great impact - thank you.

In your child’s book bag you will find an exercise book. This is intended to be kept in school to showcase independent writing during free play (Continuous Provision.) Over half term, please can you help your child decorate the outside (stickers, pictures, wrapping paper) in a way that really captures/reflects their interests e.g. knights and dragons, football, pets or princesses. Please return the book to class on the first day back after half term.

It was lovely to meet with you all this week and we really enjoyed talking about the children and their achievements. Thank you for all your hard work and support at home and we hope you have a wonderful half term together.
