The children have all had a fantastic week getting to know all their new classmates and getting used to the routines of the school day. We have been focussing on our names - recognising and ordering the letters from our own names and learning the names of all our new friends.

The children have done well adapting to life at school. They are all experts now in the lunch hall, collecting their cutlery and lunch trays and always remembering to say please and thank you to the cooks. 

We have enjoyed going to assembly, particularly learning the songs for Harvest Festival on Monday. It would be lovely if each child could bring a tin or packet of food to take with them to the church.

Monday morning will be the first day for the children to say goodbye to parents at the door and come into the classroom by themselves. We will, of course, be close by if you have any problems, but hopefully all the children are ready for this. The door will open at 8:40 am.
