Spring 2 Week 2 - Friday 6th March
Ever hopeful that Spring is here, we started our week by planting some seedlings, which are now in our mini green house. I was very impressed by how gently and carefully the children handled the tiny seedlings. Fingers crossed they will grow as we are hoping to have a plant sale later in the year - watch this space.
On Tuesday afternoon we were lucky that the weather was fine as we had a football coaching session, run by some coaches from Bournemouth FC. The children tackled the activities with their usual enthusiasm and all had a great time.
We all had great fun dressed as book characters on Thursday. The children all spoke confidently about who they were dressed as and Ray, Leah and Madeleine even stood up in assembly to share with the whole school the snails they had made. The children have all come home with a book token today.
Mrs Groves and I are very impressed at the moment with how well the children are doing with their reading. They are all so organised too. Everyday the children all remember their reading folders, which makes it so much easier for us to organise reading in class. The children are all become more confident, both with their reading and ditty books, so many thanks for all your help and support. Reading with them so much at home is really having a positive impact.
I might see some of you later at the PTA Quiz Night.
Enjoy your weekend,
