Friday 23rd October
Congratulations - we have all made it through our first half term. We are immensely proud of the children, they have achieved so much since their first tentative steps through our door. It has been such a pleasure getting to know them all.
It was also lovely to see you all at our virtual parent meetings this week. Thank you all for your positive comments. It was great to have the opportunity to speak to you all about how the children have settled into school life, even if it was via zoom!
Yesterday we had our first fire practise. Badger Class were fantastically behaved and walked calmly and sensibly out of the classroom, then waited silently in the playground - I think they were partly shocked to see all the other children! We explained that it was just a practise, but that we will know what to do if there was a real fire.
We hope you like our Christmas card design that the children brought home yesterday, we have already had some orders. It is quick and easy to order via www.apfsorders.co.uk. When you have ordered, please return your child's artwork to school after half term.
We have sent home some name activities for you to practise at home with your child over the holiday. In the envelope are the letters of their name to practise putting in the correct order. Their name card can be used for tracing over with their finger, or covering with paper to trace or to have a go at copying.
We wish you all a very happy half term,
Clare and Leesa
