We Enjoy and Excel in the Presence of God

Year R

Friday Blog - Friday 14th May

Hello Everyone,

Our vegetable theme has continued with our new book, Oliver's Vegetables by Vivian French, a lovely story about a boy who wants chips, but ends up discovering lots of other delicious vegetables to eat in his Grandpa's garden. We talked about different vegetables we enjoy and discovered that there is rhubarb growing in the courtyard.

Our growing theme continued this morning as we filled our new Year R planter with bedding plants, left over from our plant sale. The new planters were built for each class by the PTA. We're looking forward to seeing some beautiful flowers in ours before the end of term.  We have some old butler sinks in our playground which we will try to plant next week.

The school nurse visited on Thursday to give most of the children their vision checks. The children were all beautifully behaved for them. Every child seen came out with a letter for you.

Wishing you all an enjoyable weekend,

The Year R Team
