We Enjoy and Excel in the Presence of God

Year R

Friday Blog - Friday 21st May

What a wet and windy day!  The children have been whirling around all day,  just like the wind and I think we were all exhausted by 3 o'clock! We were sad not to have our whole school worship outside today, but made up for it by singing our favourite songs in the classroom. I will share on Tapestry the children singing 'My Lighthouse', which they are all brilliant at now.

It's been a week of hellos and goodbyes. On Monday we welcomed Carlo to Badger Class. He has settled so quickly and made friends with the other children.  I hope you've enjoyed your first week, Carlo. We also said goodbye to our student teachers, Miss Yarrow and Miss Burwood. The children have loved working with them over the last few weeks and we wish them well for their future careers.

The children have been having a go at sentence writing this week, using some keywords they know in a sentence. They have practised using finger spaces between each word and adding a full stop at the end. I have been very impressed by how independent they could be - well done Badger Class.

I hope you all have a fantastic weekend, whatever you are up to.
