Hello to everyone, it was lovely to meet you all properly this week with your children during our family meetings.  I hope it was helpful for you all, it certainly helps me to get to know more about your lovely children before they start.

I want to say a huge well done to you all for surviving your first day at school! I hope not too many tissues were needed. Miss Welton and I were so impressed by how well all the children coped with coming in at the start of the day. They were all fantastic in class, getting used to new routines, making new friends and exploring new environments.  

We will start our days the same way next week, but if you feel your child is ready to come in independently, please say goodbye at the gate and let them come in by themselves. On Friday all the children will (hopefully) come in independently.

Many thanks to everyone who sent in wellies, shoe boxes and PE kits. If you haven't yet sent in your child's PE kit, please bring it on Monday and Tuesday as we will try and change for PE while we are still in smaller groups.

I have been taking lots of photos of the children at play and look forward to sharing them with you on Tapestry. I am still waiting for a few permission forms and once received I will start.
