Friday Blog - Friday 17th September
Good evening Everyone,
What an exciting week we've had. Your children have been busy making new friends and finding out about the routines in Badger Class. We even managed to do the registers quickly and make it to worship at 8.55am! We have read lots of stories about starting school, comparing our experiences with the characters in the books. We have been able to empathise with the characters who have found starting school a little scary!
We all had a go at getting changed for PE this week. (You might have guessed when you found a back to front shirt!) We encourage the children to be as independent as possible when getting changed. Please support this at home by giving the children opportunities to get dressed and undressed by themselves.
I have set up all your accounts for Tapestry. You should have received an activation email from Tapestry. If you have not received one, please email me and I will check your details and resend one. I have started to publish the observations we have made so far and will try to catch up with the rest over the weekend. I hope you enjoy seeing all the fun your children have been having at school.
Starting school is such a huge step for your children and can be exhausting for them at first - Holly and I are certainly feeling shattered after today - but you will be surprised how quickly they settle into the routines. We are here to support them every step of the way. If you have any questions or concerns, please don't hesitate to contact me:
We wish you all a restful weekend,
The Year R Team
