We Enjoy and Excel in the Presence of God

Year R

Friday Blog - Friday 1st October

Good evening everyone,

We've had another busy week in Badger Class ending with an eventful morning today. I was so proud of all the children. They sensibly came into school through the hall and made their way to the classroom as if it were their normal routine. A big well done to them all.

On Monday we all got changed for PE. The children are getting better at changing themselves independently, but still need lots of opportunities to practice. Please encourage them to get themselves dressed and undressed at home.

On Tuesday the children visited the library for the first time. They loved choosing a book and are very excited about going again. Please make sure their library books come back to school on Tuesdays.

We have been thinking about our 5 senses this week and how we use them to find out about the world around them. The children have shared some very interesting ideas! We have also been thinking about the letters in our names and have started our phonics, learning the sounds and letter formations for m and a.

I think nearly everyone has activated their Tapestry account so you can see what the children have been getting up to at school. I have been adding observations to Tapestry during the week and will catch up with more over the weekend. You are able to comment on the observations we put on, but you can also add observations of your own of things the children are doing at home.  This helps us build up a fuller picture of your children and all they can do.

We wish you all a good weekend,
