Happy Half Term Everyone!

Wow, we've made it to the end of a very busy half term - your children's first half term in school. They have all had a fantastic start to their time at Brockenhurst Primary and we are very proud of all they have achieved so far.  We are also all quite tried now!

It was lovely to see all of you this week for parents' evening and to be able to share with you how well the children have settled in school.  As I mentioned to some of you, there will be a Year R Phonics information evening on Wednesday 10th November at 7.00pm, where I will be able to explain in more detail how we teach phonics and reading and how you can support our child's learning at home.

We had a fantastic visit to the church today for the Little Flames service, run by the Mother's Union. The children were beautifully behaved as we walked to St. Saviour's Church in the sunshine. They listened to the story and enjoyed joining in with the songs.

Please read my separate blog about Forest School.

Best wishes for half term,

The Year R Team
