We Enjoy and Excel in the Presence of God

Friday Blog - Friday 29th April

Good evening everyone,

I hope you have all received your invitation to 'Afternoon Tea' that the children wrote today. We would love to invite you to join us on Wednesday afternoon at 2.00pm, for tea and scones (I'm afraid I can't upgrade to prosecco!). We are planning to spend the morning baking!

This links to our new topic and role play area. We are reading the Percy the Park Keeper stories by Nick Butterworth at the moment and our role play area is set up as a park café serving afternoon tea. Mrs Shilton and I have been spoilt all week by the endless cups of tea and cakes we have been served by the children. We are also thinking about animals this half-term, beginning with British wildlife. We have been very impressed by the children's knowledge so far.

In maths we are thinking about teen numbers. The children are confident working with numbers to 10, so we are starting to think about the composition of teen numbers.

Thank you to everyone who returned their library books. I do have a list of some outstanding books and will let you know next week if you are on the list. Please do have another look at home just in case there are any more books lurking.

Another thank you to all parents who are reading regularly with their children at home. I know I go on about it, but it can make such a difference to your child's reading development. Please persevere!!!

Let's hope the sun keeps shining for the long weekend. Whatever you're doing - enjoy!
