Friday Blog - Saturday 2nd July (oops!)
Good afternoon everyone,
What a week of butterfly excitement. Wednesday afternoon saw the emergence of our first butterfly and they continued to push their way out of their cocoons as the week continued. It was, therefore, a very emotional afternoon for Badger Class yesterday as the time arrived for us to release them into the wild. It was with smiles and a few tears that we let them go!
On Wednesday we also dug up the first of our potatoes. The children loved pulling the new potatoes out of the soil. We had a fantastic crop. Dawn Dormouse put the potatoes to good use - at Forest School on Thursday the children made potato rosti, cooked over the fire.
Sports Day is on Thursday. We hope you can join us for a picnic lunch on the field at 12 o'clock and then stay to watch the races that start at 12:30.
Enjoy the rest of the weekend,
The Year R Team
