Good afternoon everyone,

There was much excitement yesterday afternoon when Mrs Gale brought us a parcel that the postman had just delivered. Urgent, open immediately - it said. Inside were 4 cups containing some tiny and very hungry caterpillars (although it took a few guesses to work out what they were - well done Nikol, who knew exactly what they were!) We have started some caterpillar diaries to watch their progress!

We have also been reading stories by Eric Carle, particularly The Very Hungry Caterpillar which the children all knew and loved. Our role play area is set up as a Minibeast investigation lab and the children have loved exploring lots of different insects.

We enjoyed more PE with the students from Brockenhurst College this morning. It was lovely for the children to be outside before the real heat of the day. We were lucky enough to have an extra treat at snack time afterwards. Some strawberries, freshly picked by Henry! Many thanks, they were delicious!

Summer has very definitely arrived. Many thanks to all of you who have ensured the children are protected with sun hats and cream. We are happy to help the children reapply if needed.
