We Enjoy and Excel in the Presence of God

Year R

Friday 23rd February 2024

We have had a busy first week back in Badger class.

We have been reading ‘Mr Wolfs Pancakes’ and talking about our own Pancake Day during half term.

In maths, we have been exploring height and length. We used the measuring worms to compare different objects around the classroom and describe it using the new vocabulary that we have learnt.

In RE, we are starting to think about signs of new life. We will be thinking about this in the lead up to Easter.

Yesterday, Badger class helped me with a very special assembly. One of our schools learning values is independence. We had previously discussed in Badger class what we are independent in and how we had to practise and persevere to get to that point. We drew pictures and did some fantastic writing about the things we can do independently. The children then stood up in front of the whole school and told everyone what they can do. I was so proud of their bravery, well done Badgers.

Have a lovely weekend,

Miss Prichard
