First day fun
Mrs Lever, Mrs Groves and I have had an enjoyable first day with both the Jungle and Ocean groups. Thank you for all your help and support in getting them ready for school.
The children have had a chance to explore their setting both in the classroom and the YR playground. They have enjoyed dressing up in the role play and whizzing around on the bikes as well as playing on the adventure playground, printing spiders, choosing books for the library, building with the giant lego, playing with the dinosaurs. I have "consumed" many icecreams from the icecream shop and had pancakes with sprinkles on and chocolate cakes created entirely from sand. Your children have great imaginations. We have been really pleased that they have been so good at choosing things to play with and happy to play with ohers. We couldn't believe today how quick they were at tidying up - super helpful. Long may that continue! Everyone gave their lunches a good go and it was good to see some empty plates. We had extra support from Hampshire caterers to ensure all went smoothly with our new ones today.
I hope to make an album to add to the YR photo albums (see the side tab) but will check the forms tomorrow in school to check whose photos can or cannot go on the website. They should give you more of an idea of what we have been up to. We look forward to welcoming you back tomorrow or Friday. Remember you can leave the classroom as soon as you want to in the mornings but when you leave you may need to leave through the front entrance as Mr. Harvey does lock the side gate at about 8:50. Now that you have an idea what goes where and we ave the shoe boxes sorted it should be easier in the mornings. Please don't forget to name all clothing, snacks and water bottles and make sure your child's snack or packed lunch doesn't contain any nuts. Thank you.
