Arrangements for Friday
On Friday we have both Grandparents Day and our school Harvest Festival at St.Saviour's Church. The children have all been asked in assembly to bring in a tin or similar that can be passed on to the foodbank in Lymington. If they wish they can bring this in tomorrow or on Friday - Just send it in their bookbags. Bear in mind that they will be expected to carry the tins to church themselves.
As we will be walking to church no matter what the weather please also ensure that your child has a good waterproof coat on Friday.
Please send your child in as usual on their own on Friday morning. Don't feel you have to wait for the door to open to put their snack boxes in the basket or drinks bottle on the trolley outside, do it as soon as you arrive. Our Y6 helpers have really helped in settling the children who have needed support this week.
Grandparents are welcome but will need to go through the main office and sign in as a visitor. Then they will be shown round to the classroom. We will have a short time with them in class before we get ourselves ready to go to church. We are anticipating that Grandparents will be walking down to church at the same time as us and come to the Harvest festival with us before returning to the school for refreshments. Then they will be able to sign out and leave. They will not be with us all day. We understand that not all grandparents will be able to come and that not all children have Grandparents and are mindful of this so please don't worry.
If grandparents are coming back at the end of the day to pick up your child please don't forget to complete an orange permission slip at the office so we know.
