YR - Super Sports
The Badgers did themselves proud today. They did a great job of keeping up with the Sports Relief Danceathon - "This is me!" as many of you saw this afternoon. This morning I said I would sponsor them 10p for every lap they ran around the playroup and between them they managed to run 140 laps. Great effort and another £14 towards Sports Relief. They also enjoyed a yoga style version of the Bear Hunt thanks to Lola's Mum which some found very relaxing, nearly falling asleep at the end! To complete their achievements they managed to fill their marble jar today as well and eagerly await a disco treat of some sort next week. More details to follow once day confirmed.
It's been good to catch up with so many of you over the last couple of weeks. Thank you for coming to the Parents evenings. Thank you also for all you have been doing and continue to do at home to support your child's learning. We will do our best to follow up any queries and suggestions before we break up for Easter.
The children have done some great writing over the last couple of weeks, rewriting the story of the Gingerbread man and making up stories of their own. Hopefully these stories have found their way home to you today. They have been finding out about the Easter story and made their own Easter garden with Mrs Lever. They have also been practising subtraction as taking away.
Only one more week before Easter and it's full of things to look forward to. I know the trip to the Science museum will be a great adventure for them. They tell me they are really good at Easter egg hunts too which could come in handy!
