YR Farewell Badgers
And here we are at the end of your child's first year of school. What a great year. Thank you so much from all of us for the generous gifts and thoughtful cards and book. Through the course of the year the children have earned themselves a silver award as Wild Explorers through the RSPB website for all their activities finding out and caring about wildlife. Hopefully their certificates will arrive for when they return in Y1. If they enjoy that kind of thing there are many more activities on the RSPB website https://www.rspb.org.uk/fun-and-learning/for-teachers/schools-wild-challenge/or Woodland trust website https://www.woodlandtrust.org.uk/get-involved/children-and-families/you can try at home. If butterflies are your thing then join in the big butterfly count before 12th Aug https://www.bigbutterflycount.org
We hope you have a fantastic summer. For those fairy lovers how about a trip to Furzey Gardens or for your nature lovers how about an outing to the Reptile centre on a sunny day (it's free) or Lepe country park for a seashore safari -pick up a spotter's sheet from inside the cafe. Whatever you do have a great time and if you're ever in Bognor Regis then please do look out for me!
P.S.Shoe boxes not needed in Y1 but if you feel your child might still need a change of underwear then just put some in their PE bag and see how they get on.
Right got to give the laptop back now. Bye Bye Brockenhurst! Good luck Badgers x
