We have had a brilliant start to the term in Badgers. The children have settled in so well, it seems as though they have been part of the school forever! Now they know how to self-register and put away their things, choose an activity, use the bathroom, manage the lunch time routines and keep the classroom nice and tidy.

We will spend the next few weeks really getting to know the children, helping them feel safe and happy in their new environment and establishing where they are on their learning journey so far. Next  week we are ready to start  our first topic:  ‘All About Me!’ If possible, please could each child bring a family photo into school for a class display.

Thank you so much for preparing the children to be so ready for school and supporting them and us during this transition period. We are so proud of the new Badgers and look forward to working closely with you all over the next very special year your children’s school life.

Parents’ Evening Arrangements

 Just to inform you that Parents’ Evenings in Yr R will take place on Monday October 15^th 3.20-5.20 pm  (Miss Harper) Tuesday 16^th 3.30-5.45pm (Miss Lever) and Friday 19^th 3.20-5.00pm (Miss Harper) This is a change to the dates published in the newsletter. Please accept our apologies for the amendment and do see a member of the Yr R team with any queries.

Reminders

 In line with school policy, no jewellery should be worn in school apart from earring studs which must be removed for PE. Please name all items of school uniform.

We look forward to welcoming all children into school on Monday 24^th September.  We would  be grateful if you would now drop your child at the Reception classroom door at 8.40 am and exit via the main gate.
