Hello all!
Thank you to everyone that has sent in coats and wellies! It was a big help, especially for this morning’s downpour!
In maths this week we have been working hard on our number bonds to 10. We have also focused on our counting both forwards and backwards. We started the week counting up to 20 and later in the week we’ve had a go at counting to 100. I’ve added a link if anyone would like to practice their number bonds. https://www.topmarks.co.uk/maths-games/hit-the-button
This week in English we have looked at adjectives to describe the Giant’s castle from our book Jack and the Beanstalk! The children all came up with brilliant ideas and were able to label all parts of the castle!
In art this week we had a great lesson where we painted butterflies. The children all told me that butterflies have symmetrical wings. We then had a go at painting one wing and pressing it onto the other. The butterflies are now up around the classroom and have bought amazing colours into the room even when the weather has not been great outside.
Just a quick reminder, book change days are Monday and Thursday and library books on Friday.
Have a lovely weekend.
Miss McKay
