We have had a very exciting week! Our beanstalks are doing really well! Some have nearly grown as tall as the cup! This week we have also completed our Christmas cards which got sent home yesterday along with an information slip on ordering.
In Maths, we have moved onto subtraction. We have used a range of resources to help us from multi- link to number lines. The children have all tried really hard at this! I have added a link to a game if anyone wants to have a practice of counting backwards. https://www.topmarks.co.uk/learning-to-count/blast-off
In English this week we have been continuing with our book ‘The Queen’s Hat’. We looked at how we can use the word ‘and’ to join two parts of our sentence together. We finished the week sequencing our version of ‘The Queen’s Hat’ using ‘Bob’s Hat’. To do this we combined our work on onomatopoeias and sentence structure.
PE kits have been sent home along with wellies. If these could come back into school on the 3rd November that would be a big help!
I hope you all have a lovely half term!
