Year 1
26/3/21
Hello everyone,
I have been so impressed with all the children this week. They have all really settled back into the classroom and have been trying hard with their learning well.
In Maths this week, we have looked at counting in 10s. We have used a range of practical resources and pictures to help us with this.
In English, we have continued with our new learning journey on ‘The Gruffalo.’ We have written down questions we would like to ask the Gruffalo, sequenced the story and we have finished the week today by looking at the spelling rule when adding es and s. This will help us when we come to writing our recipes like Gruffalo Crumble.
In History this week, we continued with our learning all about the first moon landing. The children had a great time learning what Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin did on the moon, deciding if we had rocket tickets whether we would go and creating our own art symbol to remember the moon landing.
I hope you all have a brilliant weekend.
Miss McKay
