Hello everyone, 

We have had a great week here in Year 1. 

In Maths, we started the week looking at addition and subtraction and have ended the week by looking at how we can represent numbers in tens and ones.  In English, we have continued our learning journey about 'The Storm Whale'. We have  spent the week getting to know the text through predicting, sequencing the story and writing a note in character about what has washed up on the beach. 

Our Geography day this week included a variety of tasks, from sorting activities, map work, art and discussion. I was so impressed with the children and their map work. We searched for a variety of places around the world and then located Wembury.
