Hello everyone, 

We have had a great week in year 1. We started the week by going to visit the Pigs! The children were all very excited to see them. 

In Maths, we have been looking at halving, focusing on finding half of a quantity. We have also been looking daily at our number bonds to 10 and 20 as well as telling the time to the hour and half past. Below I have attached a link of two games the children enjoy playing.

In English, we have had a busy week with our learning journey on 'Oliver's Vegetables'. We have used noun phrases to describe the vegetables and have begun to use the suffixes er and est. I have been so impressed with how hard the children have worked to include them in their writing. 

We had a lovely morning on Thursday where we played rounders in the sunshine. In Science this week the children carried our their own investigation, looking at the best material to make a parachute.
