Hello everyone, 

I just wanted to quickly say how well all of the children came into school this morning.

We have had a brilliant week in Year 1! 

In Maths, we have been looking at one more and one less than a number. 
In English, we have started our new learning journey on 'Jack and the Beanstalk'. This week the children have predicted, asked questions and sequenced the story. In Art, we got the paints out this week and created our own butterfly drawings based on The Hungry Caterpillar. 
 

Another highlight of a week was our Village walk on Wednesday morning. The children all behaved well and enjoyed the morning.
A big thank you to all parents who came to help. 

It has been great to hear so many of the children are practising their reading, keywords and maths fluency at home. If you do read with your child please can you write in their reading record.
