Well done Koalas for completing your first half term in Year 1! We have been so impressed with their achievements and we have loved getting to know all of their wonderful personalities.
It was great to talk to you all at parents evening this week and share the children’s successes so far. They are a fantastic bunch and Mrs Kitcher and I are so proud of them.
In English this week, we have completed our descriptions of the school. I know the children were very proud of their writing and it is so lovely for them to see how much progress they have made.
I mentioned in last week’s blog post that for next half terms topic, it would be helpful to have a photo of your child with their favourite toy. This will really help with their writing! Thank you.
In maths, we have been partitioning numbers to 10. The children are now very confident doing this using part whole models and ten frames. The children’s homework this week is to practice using part whole models on Maths Shed. I am sure they will be very keen to show you and complete it together.
I would love to see and hear about what the children have been up to in half term so if they would like to write about what they have done to share next week, that would be lovely.
I hope you all have a wonderful weekend full of fun and relaxation.
Miss Prichard and Mrs Kitcher.
