This week in English we have started reading our new book - 'The Queen's Hat'. We have looked at the directions that the hat travels in and had some drama fun re-enacting them.

In maths this week we have been looking at number bonds to 10 and 5. We have also started looking at missing number addition sums such as: 3 + _ = 7 and sums that start with the answer: 5 = 3 + _? To help your child at home, you make like to go through some examples with them and ensure that they know the number bonds to 10 instantly.

As always, please ensure that you read as much as possible with your child, asking them questions throughout about what they have discovered. If possible, please keep going with the cursive handwriting; the quicker it becomes fluent, the easier writing will become.

Many thanks to all the parents who have come forward to be volunteers for our Marwell visit. It was wonderful to have so may responses. We now have the correct amount of parents needed and have let those of you who are joining us know. If you have not been contacted, thank you so much for your kind offer of help.
