This week we were lucky enough to have a visitor who came to see us with several birds of prey. We met a Falcon, a Tawny Owl and a Barn Owl. It was incredible to see them up close and the children asked lots of interesting questions.  We even got to stroke the Barn Owl with a feather. We spent some time today writing about the experience.

In maths we have been continuing with addition and subtraction.  The children have been noticing the relationship between addition and subtraction and have recorded this in their books. We have been solving a variety of challenging problems and year 2 have worked very hard.

In English we are becoming authors and have started to plan another adventure for Tom.  We have chosen and described a new setting and we are looking forward to writing our stories next week.

Science week commences on Monday 9^th March and we are calling all scientists! If you are a scientist or know of a scientist that would like to share their knowledge with our school please let the office know.
