Happy Easter everyone! I just wanted to take this opportunity to say how proud I am of year 2. They have settled back into school brilliantly and we have had lots of fun over the past 4 weeks. It was wonderful to see so many of you at parents evening this week and share your child’s successes and next steps. As we move into the summer term, please do always get in touch if you have any queries or concerns.

This week in maths we have continued exploring place value. We recapped our learning from last week and partitioned numbers into different combinations and of 10s and ones. We have then moved onto looking at related facts. For example: 2 + 8 = 10, 20 + 80 = 100.

In English we planned, wrote and published our own information pages based on some ocean discoveries we had made! The children worked incredibly hard on their information pages and have published them beautifully today. We have used the style of ‘The Big Book of The Blue, and the outcome looks great.

One of our most favourite parts of the week was decorating our eggs. Year 2 did a great job and the eggs looked eggcellent!

Please could I ask that all jumpers and cardigans are named. As we (hopefully!) have some warmer weather, it is important that we can reunite lost jumpers and cardigans to their owners.
