What a windy end to the week! Luckily we have still been able to get outside for break times. This week in English we have continued with our film unit. The beautiful birds in the film have inspired us to write our own non-chronological reports. We looked at the features of a non-chronological report and researched different birds using the RSPB website. The children worked really well using the laptops.

In maths we have moved onto addition. We have focussed on adding two 2 digit numbers together and started working on exchanging a ten when the ones add up to a number greater than 10. We have used concrete resources to help us with this and will continue next week.

We have had a great Geography day looking at our enquiry questions which is: ‘Why does it matter where my food comes from?’’. We have learnt lots of information about why certain foods come from particular places and how the conditions of these places help the growth of different foods. We also enjoyed some printing in art and another fun filled cricket session!
