Round up of the week

English

This week we been looking at the feelings of characters in the book “Voices in the Park”. It is a beautiful work with wonderful illustrations and the children’s attention to detail was amazing. They were able to infer from the text and pictures how the characters were feeling and have planned to write their own voice for next week.

Maths

We have been revisited subtraction this week and looking at different methods to calculate subtraction and addition problems.

World book day

The children had an amazing day doing lots of different book based activities including a scavenger hunt with Year 6 and even PE with them.

Trip

Thank you for the letters that have been returned in respect of the school trip to Minstead. It will be a very fun trip for the children. If you have been unable to return the letter yet please can I ask that you do this on Monday.

We also plan a local walk into Brockenhurst in the next week to look at the different places that we can buy our fruit and vegetables and where they come from.
