Year 2
Friday 2nd December 2022
This week we have welcomed a new joiner to Penguin class…Ernie the Elf! He has come to visit us as Father Christmas thinks it will improve his behaviour and he really wants to be part of our nativity and help us make our Christmas decorations next week. He loved our Christmas door as well!
Aside from the excitement of Ernie the Elf arriving, in English we have written diary entries telling the story of our time on the Titanic as well as starting exploring our new book Snow. In maths, we have been practicing dividing, splitting amounts and shapes in half and naming shapes and their properties. In science, we have been exploring what activities make our heart beat faster and in history we have been exploring why the Titanic sank.
We have also done our first nativity dress rehearsal in the church - the children all looked amazing! Thank you so much for all their costumes - your ongoing support is hugely appreciated! I can’t believe it’s already December though and that the nativity is next week!
Have a lovely weekend and I hope the naughty elves don’t cause too much bother!
Miss Michael :)
