I hope you all had a fantastic Easter break and welcome back to the summer term!
The children have settled back in quickly and have enjoyed sharing their holiday fun and adventures with the adults and each other!
This week we have squeezed in lots of learning. In maths, we have been practising using cm and metres as well as reading scales and thermometers - the children are very good at this now so might be able to help with some DIY or baking!
In English, we have started our new text the Lighthouse Keepers lunch. We have discussed our favourite lunches, explored some of the characters thoughts and also acted the story out.
In PE we have started our new athletics unit practising running relay races. We have also carried out a science experiment looking at how different objects travel when pushed or pulled.
Penguins well done on making a brilliant start to the new term…give yourselves a big marshmallow clap!
I hope you all have a lovely weekend and I will see you next week!
Miss Michael :)
