We have had a really lovely week in Penguin class with our highlight being our afternoon at Woodpeckers. The children completed a range of activities including making bird feeders, decorating biscuits, weaving, making paper dollies, painting and putting together food parcels for the food bank. We are incredibly proud of all the children too as they took the time to talk to and listen to the residents at Woodpeckers and their behaviour was outstanding. 

Aside from our afternoon out we have continued our work around the book Blue Penguin with the children designing their own characters and planning their own stories in the same style - they are really looking forward to writing these next week.

In maths we have been continuing our work on place value and in geography we have been exploring how penguins have adapted to live in Antarctica. We have also done a little bit of work on human life cycles and have started exploring some of Catherine Raynor's work in art.

Well done on another super weeks work Penguins...you have settled into Year 2 amazingly!
